DayZ is a hardcore, open-world sandbox survival game where your only goal is to stay alive in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the infected and other desperate players. There are no checkpoints, no saving, and death is permanent (permadeath)—losing your character means losing all your gear and starting over on the coast.
